National alternators are manufactured to critical standards of fit, finish and performance, using premium quality aircraft components. Most electrical hardware, as well as the cases, has a special corrosion resistant finish. All units are 100% performance tested before shipment in order to insure that each alternator will maintain the highest operating standards.
These belt-driven units are manufactured as the N300 series, the N400 series, and special application or UAV series. The light-weight N300 is commonly installed on general aviation aircraft utilizing from 60 to 90 amps, 12 or 24 volt. The N400 alternator, weighing 16.1 pounds, is installed primarily in Cessna 210’s, in 24-28 volts, from 100 to 140 amps.
